Sit-Down
Dinners
The sit-down dinners are the ideal way to enjoy Kauai Cuisine’s food; it ensures that food will be presented just how the Chef intended—beautiful and delicious! This style is our specialty. We pride ourselves on beautiful presentation and service, which you will find with our served dinners. This allows your guests to relax and enjoy themselves, while being served a gourmet meal. There is no need to worry that guests will be sitting down too long - this style of service is generally the fastest! Many believe that traditional buffets are faster, which is a common myth! Guests going through a line having to decide what they will have taken much longer than a sit-down dinner. We recommend this style above everything else! We can help you create your menu. The average wedding menu consists of 3 passed appetizers, a plated soup or salad and an entrée. For your entrée, you have these options.
Action Stations
For Clients trying to find a balance between the formality of a sit-down dinner, and the restrictions of a traditional buffet, action stations are often the best answer. Stations create a more relaxed atmosphere, give guests a lot of choices, and ensure they leave full and satisfied. There are many options to choose from, if you look at our attached list. Keep in mind that due to higher labor & food costs, Actions Stations can be more expensive than some sit-down dinners. Action stations are especially great for large parties, with groups of 75 or more. With a sit-down dinner, guests are forced to wait while others are served. With Stations, there is a great deal of flexibility and guests are free to mingle while they eat, and eat when they want.
Tasting Menu
A style of sit-down dinner that Kauai Cuisine specializes in is Tasting Menus. This is perfect for the type of event where dinner is the main event. Tasting menus can be anywhere from 4-12 courses. This style of menus allows the guests to linger over their food; and the meal becomes a form of entertainment. The guests anxiously await the next course to see what the chef has created for them! We have some sample menus to choose from, but we are happy to custom design a menu to suit your individual preferences. Tasting menus are often paired with wine, to make the experience even more enjoyable. These can be done for any number of guests, but are especially nice for intimate groups.
Cocktail Party
Some people want to create a nice, relaxed atmosphere for their guests, and they find that option with a Cocktail Party. We recommend choosing 5-7 appetizers for a “PuPu” only party, especially if this will be dinner for your guests. These can be either butler passed by servers or setout stationary style. If you are worried about your guests being full enough, we suggest adding on a “Bento Box” or Action Station (see above). A short while after appetizers are completed, we will set out adorable Chinese To Go boxes and chopsticks, filled with Local style teriyaki chicken, yakisoba noodles & rice. Other options are available. The presentation will be much nicer than a buffet, the food fresh & delicious, and your guests won’t leave hungry!
